Dr. Morse completed his Internship at the University of California at San Francisco from 1980-1981. 

 UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON: SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

Dr. Morses completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital from 1981 through 1983. He did a fellowship in Pediatric Neuro Oncology during the same time period completing it in 1985. He was supervised by Jerold Milstein and Archie Bleyer

AIRLIFT NORTHWEST

Dr. Morse was one of the first flight physicians for Airlift Northwest, working with Dr. Copass of Harborview Hospital. He participated in over 100 flights to regional hospitals throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. This service in Critical Care Medicine became the source of his inspiration for his later near death research.

NATIONAL SERVICE RESEARCH AWARD

Dr. Morse was awarded a National Service Research award in 1984 to study near death experiences in children. He published the first prospective study of near death experiences in the medical literature, as well as the first reports of near death experiences in children. He published in the AMA's Pediatric journal, the American Journal of Diseases in Children. His research was supported and partially funded by the National Institutes of Health through his National Service Research Award.
